Martin Van Lonkhuijzen is Vice Chairman of The Burnratty Investment Group and brings more than 25 years of experience across banking, investment, entrepreneurship, business development and strategic advisory.
He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strategix Capital, an investor-advisory and capital-raising platform focused on connecting international capital with transformational opportunities across Africa and emerging markets. At Strategix Capital, Martin leads the firm's strategic vision, client relationships and investor engagement, with expertise spanning capital raising, transaction structuring and strategic advisory.
Martin's career includes extensive experience in the banking sector, including 17 years with Rabobank and more than two decades advising financial institutions and corporates across African and European markets. He has served in senior executive and advisory capacities including interim Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer, as well as an integration specialist and senior consultant to boards and senior management.
His transaction experience includes managing major M&A projects within the African banking industry, leading complex cross-border transactions, post-merger integrations and strategic restructuring mandates across multiple jurisdictions. He has also worked extensively in business development, operational excellence, sales and service, compliance, and institutional growth.
Martin brings to TBIG a combination of senior executive leadership, transaction experience, capital-market relationships and deep knowledge of African financial institutions. As Vice Chairman, he supports the Board in strategic development, institutional relationships and the Group's expansion as TBIG builds a scaled African healthcare platform through acquisition and consolidation.
